Archon-Digital.com started as an outlet to the overlord's sometimes sane but mostly unpredictable imagination. 16-hour workdays as a graphic designer at a highly competitive working environment can make a person think of a lot of ideas ranging from the utterly sick to the wonderfully pleasant. To keep himself sane, the overlord has published this site for him to communicate his mind to the rest of the world.

Why Archon?

The term "archon" is being used on many different contexts ranging from gnosticism to greek orthodox church and even in fiction from books to video games.

I originally got hooked with the idea of the archon as being a highly evolved intelligent life form from the fictional book The Archon Conspiracy (now known as the Mind Invaders) by Dave Hunt.

Unfortunately in the book, the archons referred to in the story turned out to be demons pretending to guide mankind to its next evolutionary step. I think I was still in grade school during the time that I read this book. Back then, I was very much obsessed with a lot of Cold War related novels and publications.

This Site's Version of the Archon

This site refers to the archon or overlord as the author's plaything, his demigod-split-personality alter ego in a series of entries about the overlord taking on the rest of the real world. From his obviously biased, first-hand accounts of mostly ficticious elaborate and sinister plans for world domination.

Also within this cyberspace entity lies his previously untold undertakings to commit himself to gain a higher level of being (read as: pagerank) and his failures which led him to instead shoot for his minor goal of becoming a successful internet entrepreneur..

The Author in Real Life

I am a graphic designer presently working in a deluxe hotel chain.

I am a techie if not a geek. I love learning about new things everyday.

The nature of my work includes meeting very tight deadlines, putting up with Windows and enjoying OSX while pushing the limits of my sick creative imagination, providing solutions to everyday problems, interacting a lot with "normal" people while explaining that artwork does not materialize overnight or in five minutes.

World domination is merely my term for taking on real life and the very real and pathetic problems we all face each day. Life is hard and it gets even harder if you don't work around it. Life is fun at the same time and treasuring every single moment of it is worth taking on the hardships that come along with it.

Ancient Greece's Archon

In the early literary period of ancient Greece the chief magistrates of various Greek city states were called Archon. The term was also used throughout Greek history in a more general sense, ranging from "club leader” to "master of the tables” at syssitia to "Roman governor". In Roman terms, archontes ruled by imperium, whereas Basileis (”Kings") had auctoritas.

In Athens a system of three concurrent Archons evolved, the three office holders being known as the Archon Eponymous, the Polemarch, and the Archon Basileus.
